Will Plesk 6.x handle the use of multiple nameservers?

Can I have my resellers register nameserver domains and point them to my nameserver ip's to resolve domains?

Doing this in WHM works fine, can I get away with it on Plesk.

Thanks in advance.

Yep and it works great..

just let the resellers change the dns to their ns1.domainname.com and ns2.domainname.com with your ip's from your nameservers.

I also have this done and no problem with it.

So if my ns1 and ns2 ip's are

1.1.1.1
1.1.1.2

The resellers just register their nameservers with those ip's and it works without changing the DNS records for the domains?

In the default dns template are my nameservers, these can remain I would guess.

Thanks for your reply.

let say your nameservers are:

ns1.yourname.xxx 1.1.1.1
ns2.yourname.xxx 1.1.1.2

now the reseller register their nameservers with also those ip but with his nameservers

ns1.reseller.xxx 1.1.1.1
ns2.reseller.xxx 1.1.1.2

You can leave your template as it is, because then standard your nameservers will be used.

In case of the reseller you would have to change the dns of the resellers and his domains. So you have to give the reseller access to the dns settings, otherwise if he has a new domain, he has to contact you to setup the dns for him.

I've only used WHM and plain boxes in the past, thought I would give plesk a try...WHM will resolve domains using multiple nameservers without modification of dns.

Would be nice if plesk allowed multiple dns templates that could be bound to a reseller.

Do you know if the dns template is stored in mysql?

It would be easy to swap one template with another quickly using phpmyadmin or even the command line :0)

Thanks again..
