Anyone know how i can disable updatedb?

I have many clients overseas, and they all compain around 4-6a.m. Updatedb seems to take a long time on the server and the load is high around 5-6%.

Just want to know if there is a way to disable it. Dont really use locate feature to often and would rather use "find"

Also, how do you do a search/find command without using the locate database.

lets say i'm trying to find the file indexfile2.php
But I dont know what directory it is in?

How would I do a find/search on the hard drive for that file without using the locate command?

remove it from cron.daily

slocate.cron

I have put it on cron.weekly with my ensim box do not notice the load with the Cpanel Box
