hey all, just recently ive been getting segment faults when using rpm commands...

[root@xxx root]# rpm -e mrtg
Segmentation fault

[root@xxx root]# rpm -Uvh ImageMagick*
Segmentation fault

i ran memtest, everything checked out somewhat ok, no "errors"


any ideas on what this could be, is it something i could try? or would rs...

I'm getting the same thing on a new server... hmmm.

I'd check and make sure you haven't been rooted.
One of the *commonish* signs of having been hacked is that you start getting segfaults on regular commands.
