I'm desperately trying to disable, kill, choke ...
HORDE and NEOMAIL ...

i've tried every possible way ... but they keep working !
( i also DISABLED them via WHM => tweak settings )

but if i call them, from web,

like
https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:2083/horde/index.php ...

they're is still there , ready to let me log inside !

and they are also accessible and working under
CPANEL => webmail !

please, tell me how to destroy them :-)

thanks !

Ummm... You could delete the files through SSH. But why would you want to remove webmail?
MediaStaff
thanks for the answer ...

but ... I knew that "drastic" solution ...

I was looking for a more "elegant"
way to do it.

is it possible there isn't a way to disable them correctly ?!?

what disabling them via WHM stand for ?
( since it doesn't actual disable them )

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ............

there must be a "correct" way to do it ... :-(
after all, they're services listening on a certain port, aren't them ?
there must be a way to stop them and block them to start ...

anyway, I want to disable them because I will install another
Webmail script I prefer.

the "elegant" way disable Neomail and Horde is to log in to your WHM and click on the "tweak settings" link. then uncheck the "neomail webmail" and "horde webmail" boxes and click on "save" and you're all set.

Block the ports to webmail in your firewall.

Hello,

Like I said in my post, I already tried it ...
that doesn't really disable them ...
it only removes the links to horde / neomail, in these kind of requests :

http://www.domain_name.net:2095

but ... if you use this, they're still active and working :

https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:2083/horde/index.php

I can't figure out why the Cpanel guys used this ridiculous
way to disable them .... hmmmmmmmmmmmm

It actually only tries to HIDE them ... to make them un-reachable ... but they're still there, alive and working :-(

yeah .... you're right ....
sadly ... I think this is the only workaround available :-(
