My cpanel box has been up for several months and I have about 30 customers. For the last 9 months, I've been using RS nameservers, but it's beginning to become a pain in the butt when customers setup subdomains and I have to manually input them into the RS dns configuration.
I would like to get a second IP and setup my own nameserver so that when a customer makes changes like adding a subdomain, WHM can automatically handle DNS. Automated is good!
Now my question, how do I go about setting this up on an existing service? Will my customers see downtime and will they have to update nameservers with their domain registrars? This could become a headache if they do.
