Full Version: Exim is Gone...
The Planet Forums > Control Panels > cPanel/WHM

I followed the instructions at http://forum.rackshack.net/showthread.php?...&threadid=30448 to upgrade to Redhat 9. Everything went well, except that now exim appears to be gone. There is no /usr/sbin/sendmail, and a 'whereis exim' returns only /etc/exim.

Looks like I need to reinstall exim somehow... but since it comes as a part of cPanel, I'm not sure what the best way to do it is... I don't want to install the wrong version, or install it in a way that makes it incompatible with cPanel... What do I do to get exim back? Thanks in advance to anyone who responds...

Nevermind. I fixed it. I ran:

/scripts/exim4

which seems to have installed it and set it up properly.

Sorry to bump a really old thread, but just want to say thanks. Had the same problem and was able to fix it quickly thanks to your post. Good to see someone posting how they fixed something rather than just saying it was fixed icon_smile.gif
