Hey,

I'm looking at getting a dedicated box and I'm exploring the options, including the various control panels. I have experience with Ensim 3.1 (as a reseller) however I am attracted by the feature-rich Cpanel icon_smile.gif.

I would like to use FreeBSD and I know it is supported by Cpanel. Does anyone have any experience with this combination and setup? Would I be better advised using RH?

Considering my inexperience with Cpanel, I would be grateful if anyone could help me on a couple of further points. If in the long-term I wish to move say, the MySQL and mail services to a dedicated box, how easy would this be to achieve with a Cpanel setup? Furthermore, what are the possibilities with load-balanced HTTP, etc?

I would really appreciate any feedback - you're the experts, after all icon_smile.gif.

Many thanks.

I don't think Cpanel has those sort of load-balancing features. Look at H-Sphere (www.psoft.net), it has better load sharing support than other control panels from what I've seen.
