One more way to harden your server would be to change the port that Terminal Services (or remote desktop as the case may be) listens for connections on. It's really easy, but you need to make sure (for obvious reasons you know exactly which port you change it to becore you disconnect. The new port will be active at the next reboot.

I use this on my server at home and it works great. Just another stumbling block in a hackers attempted intrusion.
