i am trying to start a Cs server off of RH with HLDS, but for some reason it does not let me connect from another computer or anyone else. I followed the steps here at »forum.rackshack.net/showthread.php?s=0..[?]
which are pretty foolproof so i do not understand. I opened all the necessary ports that it says to do on the official CS server webpage. I am behind a Linisys router if that means anything, but as i said i forwarded all the correct ports. Can someone please help me out. The message that i get when i start the server is as follows

Console initialized.
Protocol version 46
Exe version 3.1.1.1
Exe build: 22:35:19 Apr 29 2003 (2378)
WON Auth Server
Server IP address 127.0.0.1:27015
Downloading Security Module from Speakeasy.net ...
Completed downloading Security Module from Speakeasy.net
Server is in Secure Mode.

Wrong forum to post this in. The HOW-TO forum is for instructional posts only.

I'll answer anyway, but a mod will probably move the thread to the appropriate forum.

I noticed in that output you pasted that it says...

Server IP address 127.0.0.1:27015

That seems to be the root of the problem, but I may be mistaken. The server appears to be running only locally. Did you specify an IP in the start line? If not you might want to try specifying the server IP address using either -ip xx.xx.xx.xx or +ip xx.xx.xx.xx. Sorry, I can't ever remember if its "+" or "-", since I never have to use that.

Good luck.
