Full Version: Can't login to transfer second domain name?

I'm trying to transfer two domain names from Joker over to Rackshack. The first went fine. But for the second, which I obviously want in the same account as the first, on the login screen I check "existing client", enter the first domain, username, and password (all correct - tried it twice).

Then I get simply:

Registration Error
The error which occurred was:
Failed attempt: Authentication Error.

Any ideas on how to login to transfer the second domain into the same account as the first will be transferred into?

Until the transfer of the first domain has completed you will not be able to log in to the "manage" utility to initiate the other transfers onto the same account.

I would recommend for future reference that you register a "new domain" then once that account is created you can submit for all the transfers you need to under that account. Otherwise you will have to wait until the transfer is complete before you can submit any further under the same account.

Thank you,

Ah ok. Thanks Mario. It's too bad that the login isn't just a login and that it's tied to the first domain transferred in... but I guess this must be the way it has to be for some reason.

I'll probably miss the transfer window for the second at Joker and will then have to go back to joker, re-request the auth code, wait again a week for the new window to open and the new auth code to be issued by Joker to allow the transfer...ah transferring is such a pain... reminds me of the old netsol days

Thanks for the reply though. I should have asked before I started I suppose.
ABHS
then you get access and can transfer all day long

worked for me

Yes that's what Mario said above as well but obviously it's too late now since I already started the first transfer to create my account (don't want it stranded in a different managemet account.) But thanks for the followup. Should be soon now anyway.

Actually I ran into the same problem on some internal domains then I learned that you can merge them together later so register away at the domains you need and then merge them later in the 'manage your domain' under the profile section.

Change Ownership of Domain
You may create a new profile for this domain or move it to a different profile you own.

This works wonderfully try it!
