Full Version: Plesk or Ensim??
The Planet Forums > Control Panels > Plesk

Hi, (Excuse me for my bad English)

I will rent a Server AMD Package II and I want to know:

Which the best manager? Plesk or Ensim?

I want to have +300 accounts (for customers), I know that Plesk has license for 200 accounts.

The most important for me is: Which is the best and easier for the customers?

Did I test the two systems, but does it seem that Ensim is easier for the customers, that is correct? Is this system stable?

Thank you,

I can't say anything about Ensim functionality as I haven't used it nearly enough. But I feel the Plesk interface is clean, simple, and much less cluttered compared to the Ensim interface. Plesk provided the basic functionality I wanted in web hosting management software and due to past experience I knew I could add anything else I wanted.

The plesk option have a fast and easy administration.
I use Cpanel, but have many bugs.
The Ensim option is a copy of a Cobalt Server (admin).

The limit for the 200 accounts are the only point vs Plesk.
But with a bucks, have the unlimited option.

Luiz,

I just purchased a AMD + Plesk box a few days ago. I had done a LOT of research on Plesk vs. Ensim for virtual hosting. The conclusion was fairly overwhelming: go with Plesk. It seems that there are lots more headaches with Ensim.

As for the 200 client limit, you can pay an additional one-time fee to up that license to unlimited clients. The difference in license fees for 300 and unlimited is $200.00 from Plesk. They may even offer a discount.

Whether you pick Plesk or Ensim, though, you will have a learning curve and your hosted clients will have a new Control Panel to get used to (assuming you haven't used either before).

People here used to say Ensim was better if you wanted to have resellers, but I think that was prior to Plesk 2.0. It seems that the latest version of Plesk will help you manage resellers quite nicely.

Also, the fact that the Plesk boxes are rarely available should be a clue: they are the hot ticket.

Either way, you'll get a great deal here, and for the most part, either control panel will do what you need it to do.

Good luck!
