Full Version: How to get an existing database to show up in Plesk?

We recently had to switch hard drives on our dedicated server. We uploaded our MySQL dump via SSH. (We run vBulletin). I now need to access the database via PhpMyAdmin, but I can't do it via the normal means of PSA CP, Domains, Honda-Acura.net, Databases, Database Name, PhpMyAdmin.

The database is no longer there (PSA was upgraded). I tried to add it but it says it already exists, even though I can't click on it to access it.

I have had the same expericence when I moved around a lot of sites lately and upgraded to Plesk 6.01. The easiest way is to install phpMyAdmin in a subdir off one of your sites. The root user for MySQL is usually the same as the admin account for Plesk.

Once you have gained access to the database, rename it, recreate the database + user in Plesk and then rename the data back with phpMyAdmin.

I was wondering if it wouldn't be easier to edit the database PSA? This is a problem I still have to sole but as I'm right in the migration process, I didn't reach that point yet.
