Never mind...need to log in as Admin!
duh.

I got a new License for my upgrade from 4.

Now how do I add the new License?

When I visit the admin section of urchin I only get the Invalid License web page.

Thanks

From one of RS-Gregs' posts:

The following is the procedure to request a new license and reactivate your installation of Urchin.

Please open a ticket online requesting a new Urchin license. Please provide the ip address of the server in question and
the username/password/port for the current Urchin install.

Rackshack will send you a new key via email. After you have received this key the following commands will have to be preformed on the server as root:

- Open up a command shell window on the server running Urchin

- Change directory to the "util" directory/folder of the Urchin distribution (eg: /usr/local/urchin4/util).

- Run the following commands:

./uconf-driver action=set_parameter recnum=1 ct_serial=0
./uconf-driver action=set_parameter recnum=1 ct_license=0

- Log in to the Urchin web interface as "admin" and select the
"Activate pre-purchased license" link; then simply type in the
new Rackshack-supplied Urchin serial code when prompted.

well this thread is a bit old but I need to know if this will work.

I have asked for an upgrade license for an exsiting Urchin install (need more accounts)

Will this have any affects on the accounts there now?

Of course it is now Urchin 5 and this is for Urchin 4 but I see that these very same scripts are located in this directory.

FYI:

If you do get an upgraded license from EV1 it is a waiste of time asking these questions with them. I emailed asking them how to upgrade the license when I got it and recieved no responce at all. Thank goodness for this forum icon_smile.gif
