We have a P4 2.0 ghz server running the latest version of cPanel.
I've attached a load-time average report to show when the server is spiking. The load goes up into the 20s for about 10 minutes, httpd and email stop responding, and then it fixes itself.
TOP does not show anything that bad. With load times in the 20's you usually see a huge process running or something.
Top Process %CPU 7.0 /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/bin/whostmgr2 ./objcache
Top Process %CPU 1.9 /usr/bin/perl -w ./read-data.pl MODNAMEPART DEBUGLEVEL-1 OSTYPELinux SNMPWALK/usr/bin/snmpwalk
Anyone have any idea what else we can look for next time this happens?
