A customer has sent me the following ticket:

Why do all my images reload everytime they are reused in a page. Is this a problem with caching? When I upload to my ISP host I don't have this problem.

Any ideas?

That is a problem with your clients computer, caching is handled at the browser or ISP level. Your computer just does not ask for the images. I would suggest that he look at his caching on his computer.

Thought so, but they insist that it is only my server which does it. Also, they sent the following follow up

I also notice that when I right click my images they have no creation or modified date on them and neither do the images on the nanabite homepage. However; the actually webpages themselves do. I've looked around the web and I've mostly found this is a host issue. Is there anything I can do?

hi,
i had the same problem when i installed mod_gzip 1.3.26.1a on apache 1.3.28. if you have it installed, you might want to disable it through httpd.conf.

regards.

Yeah, but is it worth disabling mod_gzip for it? Anyone else encountering this problem with this combination?
