What exactly is this and what should it be set to?

This is how long the domain is valid (one month, one year, etc). Basically this features allows you to automatically disable domains.

as far i can see, validity seems to be a pretty usless option for me.
if a client set a domain to unlimited, you cant set the client to anything but unlimited. You have to set all the domains with the same date than the client.
Is annoing for a client with 50 domains, having to update all the validitys each time he pays.
any way to ignore the domain limit??? since the domain will be taken down anyway...i bet there isnt but perhaps i overlooked something on the configuration or manuals.
you can always dream.

This validity setting could be used with an external software as it's not practical to update manually. Indeed the limits set is not very inspired.

yep i saw that but the limit in the plesk database is set with a numerical value, not a date one.
for example, the limit to "2004-02-21" is set like "1098334800" in the Limits database.
anyway, im new to plesk6 and i totally forgot the "global changes" option.
Setting all the domains to the same date that the client will be very easy now.
if someone realize some way to translate the number: 1098334800 to: 2004-02-21.
it will be great. But right now, im pretty busy to do it myself, if i do, i will make sure of post it here. IF im am allowed of course.

It's the timestamp. Using sql queries you can translate this in any date format you want.
