So I was running an EDGE relesae of cPanel yesterday. All my update settings are set to manual.
So why has cPanel change itself?
It's now 7.2.1-STABLE 85
That's just bizarre -- not to mention disconcerting. I'm assuming it was a bug in the EDGE release I had -- not sure though. Any experience of an issue like this is greatlt welcomed.

What are your update settings set to in WHM?
It will update itself if they are set to "automatic".
Also you should consider running a "release" or "stable" version because Edge isn't very well tested to use on a production machine.

They are all set to Manual. This isn't a production box yet -- I haven't found any version of cPanel trust worthy enough to make it production.
