I am a newbie, and I want to secure my server.
What steps should I take to do so.
I have the Intel 1 gighertz with 2, 40 gig harddrives.
I know I should install Open SSH, but I do not know how.
If anyone is willing to help me out, it would be great.
Jonathan
Have a look at this thread.....

http://forums.rackshack.net/showthread.php...ghlight=openssh

The items detailed in that thread should be your first steps.

I do not understand that thread. I have read it before.
Jonathan
That thread basically describes the first things you should do with your server. If your unsure about following the directions in that thread I'd suggest getting yourself an experienced admin as the instructions on that thread are about the easiest and most straight forward your ever going to see icon_wink.gif

Actually those threads made it more complicatged to understand, i figured out a simpler method myself. And was able to install OpenSSH in about 5mins.
Now what I need is help on installing IP Chains

Hmmm your one of the few who thought that about the thread icon_wink.gif but serve-you/Dan is very good at providing support over at plesk's forums. Perhaps you'd like to re-read my post above:

Perhaps that was quite a good prediction icon_biggrin.gif
