Hello,

been going through months worth of threads here try to figure out how to enable telnet on port 23, and for the life of me, can't get it to work at all. Keep getting the message, service not available and such.

This is on a RH 7.3 w/Cpanel. Just got on this new machine a couple weeks ago.

this is mainly for a "Just incase " issue that may arise

thx's, I already reviewed this thread earlier.. still no go and we are not using any firewall either.

Some one had to say it....

I sure hope you change ports. Telnet is a security risk waiting to happen.

it would be only a very temporary, for a short period of time. but as it seems opening telnet seems to be impossible at this point or haven't found away to enable it.
