Been happening to me a few times already and really seeking for some help here.
Cpanel server.
Situation:
Customer suddently have problem logging to their FTP
error = user/pwd error.
Customer did not change pwd. It just happen. Customer can still use same login n pwd to login to cpanel : 2082
Using proftpd.
Temp solution that i have found out myself = from WHM switch to pureftpd and switch backt o proftpd and customer will be able to login to their ftp again.
after a while ( 1 - 2) day it happen again.
Any idea why? or solution or area i should look at.
Any assistance appreciated.

pureftpd n proftpd running simulteneously.
kill both and restart which ever you want.
