turn your cpanel auto update off.
set it to manual update (stable tree)

But I have 2 other machines with 7.1.0, auto-updates, and with no problems ; |
but its not the most stable version, so it tends to break for almost no reason. Thats why a production server should never be put at bleeding edge...
