How do I log in to WHM with a user other than root.

This is important, not only does the server only allow login as root, it supports it over unencrypted http.

If there is no fix to this, this and this alone will cause me to get rid of this server.
Lord MJ
Never mind.

I'm through with this horrible piece of software.

You can login as another user once they are a reseller. If you read the docs, you'll find that on port 2087 is WHM with a secure connection icon_smile.gif

Yeah, I figured that part out.

However, the sheer amount of problems I had with this software, made me decide to stick with my emsim machine.

To bad I wasted a whole $158....mad.gif

Maybe you'd be better hosted on a Windows machine... or a raq?

Seriously, I've never even USED CPanel before and within an hour after purchasing my server I had disabled non secure HTTP CPanel/WHM/Webmail logins, updated all the software, had the box firewalled, SSH moved to a nonstandard port, and all my accounts and service plans set in motion.

Some people are just prone to PEBKAC errors I guess. icon_razz.gif

Ensim has been serving me fine. I was planning on replacing my ENSIM server with a CPanel one because I heard it was more user friendly. But after actually using CPanel, I decided that Ensim was superior on all counts.

I've used both, and I still prefer Cpanel, bugs and all. icon_smile.gif It's a matter of personal taste.

Just use your favorite firewall. I use apf to do the same.
