I was trying .. to upgrade apache to the latest ..
when I isssued the command ..

./configure --enable-layout=RedHat --enable-mods-shared="access actions alias asis auth autoindex cgi cgid dir env imap include log_config logio mime negotiation setenvif status userdir auth-anon auth-dbm cern-meta dav dav_fs deflate expires headers info mime_magic rewrite speling ssl suexec unique_id usertrack vhost_alias auth-digest" --enable-http --enable-so --with-z=/usr --with-ssl=/usr

it is giving me this error ..

checking for C compiler default output... configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables
check `config.log' for details.
configure failed for srclib/apr

Any help

I also felt on this problem, any guru to help? ;-)

Get rid of the ="access, quotes. Its in two places in your ./config. Also i dont really undestand you config values here, they dont look right.
