Before I posted this, I tried searching this forum and other sources for the answer, but I could not find the answer.
This is my problem:
I currently have 4 dedicated servers with another providor.
I just got 2 bigger servers here.
I now like to move all domains from my current servers to RS servers.
But I will not be able to do it all in 1 day.
I have on the 4 servers 4 different nameservers (all 4 my own)
Is there a way I could set up the nameservers on the RS servers while the old location still also is recognised?
Meaning if a certain domain is no longer on the old server it would automaticly lead to the new.
would this work for example?

ns1.mydomain.com pointing to IP old server
ns2.mydomain.com pointing to IP new server

So I just register ns2.mydomain.com with my registar and set up ns2.mydomain.com on the RS server.

Or is there another way to solve this?

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

This sounds theoretically possible, but I have never seen this done before. You'd want to modify your nameserver entries with the registrar, of course, to reflect the different IPs for your two separate nameservers, but, I would imagine that once the primary nameserver fails, the secondary nameserver would take over.

Best of luck,
Kaelon
