Full Version: Will we have to pay to upgrade to PSA6 with full options?

If you take a look at the Plesk PSA 6 new pricing (here) you can see that some of the new functions of Plesk are only available if you pay an additional sum for them.

For example:
- postreSQL support: $49
- Tomcat support: $49
- event manager: $49
etc.

Will Plesk licenses at Rackshack enable us to use these features or not?

BTW, there is a post at Plesk's forum which states that all licenses that are upgraded or bought new before 11th of June will support the above additional features without any additional cost. So... where does Rackshack fit into that?

I do hope we won't be stuck with a bare bone version of Plesk...

I guess that if the keys can be upgraded before the 11th July (11th June has gone icon_razz.gif ) Then these features will be included.

I am sure RS, will let us know in due course.

Gee how the time flies :o icon_biggrin.gif Yes, it's probably July, I'd have to look again for that thread at Plesk's forum... Hope it is since we have some licenses we own too.

Anyway, this new pricing and some of the conversations we've had with Plesk's top members of the staff (or sudden lack of replies for weeks) makes me think Plesk has gotten too big to really care. icon_sad.gif

It's July, not June.

I upgraded my own PSA5 key for free and it came with the following by default:

300 domains
Tomcat
PostgreSQL
Event Manager

"My own" as I said... the extras dont bother me though I compile my own MySQL and postgresql installations and maintain databases from the command line. icon_smile.gif
