Full Version: cPanel & mod_python

I just bought a Pentium 4 2.0 GHz, 1 GIG Ram, 80 GIG HD, cPanel server and I absolutely love it. I never knew cPanel was this much of a better fit for my needs than Ensim would ever be.

Anyways, I Installed APF Firewall, and tranferred all of my old Ensim accounts using EnXim, but now I have a question.

I was navigating through the RPM list to install, and I saw mod_python. Now this was a blessing to be, because I tried to install mod_python on my ensim box and failed miserably many times. So now my question is this.

If I install the mod_python RPM which is listed in the RPM list in the WHC, will everything be configured properly to use, and will it disrupt any other aspects of my server?

I would appreciate any answer to this question.

Thanks

Does anyone know if installing mod_python through cPanel's RPM installation database will conflict with anything currently installed, or crucial to operation?
I haven't installed any other RPMs other than APF firewall right now, so I am basically on a fresh server.

Any help would be appreciated.
