stat of /var/log/exim_paniclog failed: No such file or directory

for some reason this directory/log has not been created.

cd /var/log
pico exim_paniclog
then save this newly created file....You should stop getting this message.

how do I save the file? I hit control x to exit, but it won't save...

ctrl O writes out, then ctrl X to exit.
make sure the file name is correct, that should do it ;-)
