when running /scripts/easyapache as cpanel said to to upgrade the the latest version I choose #2.

Well now all customers with frontpage extension are getting a error, no permission. So I log into that customer and look and there are 3 .htaccess

anyone else getting this?

Whats wrong with that? He must be running MS Fronpage and every site i have seen has lots of renamed .htaccess files.
