Well I did the upgrade to ensim pro and me no likey....so I'm considering a re-image with Cpanel but I keep reading this stuff about security. Can this be overcome or is installing Cpanel just inviting trouble OR should I just fricking kill myself right now and not worry about any of it ?

I've read the other strings on the cpanel ensim debate with a few opinions but little information on what the problems are and how prevelant. Is cpanel just something the hackers have kinda' 'got it's number' ?

Are the latest versions better ? Have the security problems been fixed and WHAT ARE THEY ?

I need to make a decision here in the next few hours....

Well the thing is, any peice of software that does more will have more "holes" .. for me, I just use cpanel and keep good backups. And you will be fine if you don't give users shell access, or use cpanels new "jailed shell" feature.

I give Shell Access on the ensim box...why would SSH, ( not telnet ) have vulnerabilities ?

becuase cpanel boxes don't use a chrooted shell like ensim boxes do.. but the just started to use a jailed shell feature that compensates for that. But you have to assign it for each shell.
