You would need a Windows server to run Sharepoint or Sharepoint Team Services.

When RS goes with Windows, depending on version of the server, it might be possible to do it, SPS is s resource HOG, and requires at the very least 2 servers.
The cost, one word, expensive! The CALS are very pricy, and the app is 3k.
I see you are from OC, are you doing any SPS work now?

SPS Team and the full version are diff apps.. SPS full requires AD and to use all the feature, Exchange as well... Also, unless you want to use a scaled version of Access, you will need SQL..

you don't need a huge machine to run ms-sql do you? I'm more on a *nix type so I don't have much experience in ms-sql etc but when I have set it up it's run OK on PC's

I don't like the word expensive. Not ready to put that kind of cash out. I knew I would need a NT server.
Anyone running SharePoint which I can resell?

Dave-- SQL is not necessary, but highly recomended if you have more than a few users, and more than a little data..and I do not remember exactly, but there are limitations in 2k3 Web Edition, and I have a feeling that is what will be offered at RS...Its very inexpensive..
kcgbjc--Do you have a customer looking for a solution or just asking?

I have a customer who develops for it. He would like to package the hosting with his development. I thought I might offer it to him.
