For some reason no matter where I log into CPanel for ANY domain on my bow, the Last Login paramter at the top of the page is set to "localhost". I am using the blue lagoon theme if that is of any concern. Any idea why it does this instead of listing the ident (whatever) of my actual connect? It did show it correctly on my old CPanel box with my old provider.

yeah i face this problem too using SSL connection. Haven tried non SSL though.

Usually I do. is that not the preferred method to protect your account ID/PW?

For some reason cpanel doesnt record the last login if you use a SSL connection.

You can test it out by trying to login once on a non-SSL connection.
