Okay I have a friend on my ensim box which houses my main domain crediblehost.com. I have given him a subdomain.crediblehost.com However he has asked me if I could put him on my cpanel box instead. Can I have a subdomain of sub.crediblehost.com on a different box then where main domain is located? And if so how do I do it?

Would I just add an A Record on Ensim box pointing to ip of cpanel box? Maybe?

just add an A record to DNS pointing the subdomain to the IP of the cpanel server. Then add the site to WHM as sub.domain.com.
