Full Version: name-based hosting problem
The Planet Forums > Control Panels > Plesk
shak
Hi there,

I purchase my RS server a couple of weeks ago which has the Plesk control panel. I normally just use the console but now I wanted to get familiar with the control panel and apache.
I created a client and a domain account but I went into the httpd.conf in etc/httpd and noticed no changed was made for virtual hosting. Isnt plesk suppose to automatically modify this file?
Also, the document root was using /var/www/html but plesk created the account in /home/httpd/vhosts/zarhosting.com.

Ok, me confused.
I couldnt find the information on what plesk does to the httpd.conf file.
And which path should I keep my vhosts?

thanx,

Shak.

On httpd.conf you will see that the last line includes another file. httpd.include is the file used by Plesk.

Hmmm...

That's strange. I saw the httpd.include file in the directory, but its not listed in the httpd.conf file.

What does the syntax look like, I will have to manually insert it in.

thnx,
Shak.

The last line in the httpd.conf file this is added.

Include conf/httpd.include
