Hi,

I alredy run the plesk backup via NightHawk's howto. This runs fine.

But what exactly does it back up? Stucture, Data, Databases, Email?

Do I need another solution, so I can restore customers data quickly?

If the HDD failed of course the Plesk backup data would be useless - so I need to export that at least on a regulr basis - what si the best way to do that? Run a cron job to move it into a httpdocs folder and then wget it from another server?

I can pay for another service at $50 a month or so, but is this money down the drain?

Thoughts please.

nighthawk's tutorial shows how to restore the sites also. it's done with the PSARESTORE which is included with the PSA backup utilities... I am going to try and get it running myself. I do believe there are cheaper backup options than the $50/month. Perhaps you could trade with someone else.. I'd even be interested in doing that if you are. Let me know. We can setup RSYNC between our servers and run a weekly backup atleast? THanks

Cool - loosing data from the HDD concerns me a bit icon_sad.gif Especially when I only have 1 HDD & 1 server icon_sad.gif

That's why I was offering to trade space, so we have backups elsewhere icon_smile.gif
