Moved from Ensim General Forum....

Okay all, here is a wonderful dilemma that I have come too and I want to know your thoughts...

We have a few servers here at RS and until now, we are very happy!

However, I just requested additional IP's for one of our servers (our business is growing) and received a response that they are out of IP for the subnet we are on. How nice....

I don't understand how we are supposed to run a hosting company when we have to justify each IP we use and if we order more than we are using, we run the risk of having them taken back.

Is there some way that we can reach some kind of compromise? I mean, if I order a new server with additional IP's I know that in a short time I could be facing the same problem.

Just an idea but maybe for resellers (verify this somehow) RS could allocate a block (small block not full) of IP's on request.

How are others handling this situation (for those of you who are resellers)?

I am sure someone has faced this before, what did you do? i.e. new server on new subnet? Migrate customers? Request large block on new subnet and reconfig all sites?

I am really looking for comments and or suggestions, any feedback is greatly appreciated....

PS... Are we having fun yet?
