Full Version: Is it possible to block MAC addresses?
The Planet Forums > Control Panels > Plesk

Hello all,

We are getting attacked from more than 1 ip. Yet we know that it's the same attacker because of the MAC address we see.

The firewall is blocking the IP, yet the person in question is just using another IP to attack us again.

We are getting http's floods which is really slowing our server down. Is there any way to block MAC addresses?

I'm running a Plesk machine with 5.0.5 installed and Redhat 7.3.

Thank you for your help,

The MAC address you see is the MAC address of your switch, is not the attacker MAC address. MAC addresses are not forwarded outside the network.
