Hello guys,
I have heard that vBulletin + MySQL v.4 is works much faster than vBulletin + MySQL v.3
Does anybody tried to update MySQL version to 4?
I can't find any good resource about PSA 5 + MySQL 4
Thank you

I've heard of a few people doing it but to be honest it's probably not recommended until plesk themselves decide to intergrate it.

The way I understand it, is that there is a new "query caching" feature that realy makes a noticable difference in most data driven sites. Sounds logical to me:)

Trust me, on busy sites a query cache can be a life saver. I notice a huge performance increase on one of my Oracle databases with caching.
MySQL are definately moving the right way but they aren't quite there yet with their features... but most of them are in development (what I mean by that is offering things like Stored Procedures, Triggers, Transactions, Sub-selects, etc).
