I just wanted to send yet another thank you to Patrick for fixing a server problem that I had. It turned out to be a dead nic that needed to be swapped.
I tried going through the usual TT system but after a week nothing had been done to fix it. So I send an e-mail to Patrick asking for help and within an hour it was diagnosed and repaired. I suppose it would have been better if the TT system worked a bit better for hardware issues like this but that is something RS will have to work on. Either way I'm still a happy RS camper.
Alas, the downtime did have a price, it reset my uptime, so my record stands at 479 days, 4:04. Oh well, hehe, back to day one, if the server lasts another 479 days I will be extremely pleased
BTW, I think it would be sweet if RS offered a discount on monthly fees if you had a server for over a year, say 5/10%. Not that I'm complaining but every little bit helps, and after a year the server has likely been paid for with the previous years fees.
Keep up the good work RS, I wish I worked for you guys, it would be fun/challenging, hehe.
