Full Version: A entry error on new server

Hi guys, I just got a new Cpanel server and I registered a nameserver with registerfly.

When I log into the WHM I get this error
The server was unable to lookup an an A entry for its hostname (ns1.membersportal.com). This is generally because the entry was never added. However this could also be the result of your nameserver(s) being down. If you would like to attempt to automaticlly add the entry,

Is this because the new nameserver is still propogating through the internet? In the meantime can I add ns1.rackshack.net and ns2.rackshack.net to my DNS setting so I can start moving domains.

THanks

Just to expand on this issue. Do I have to name the box ns1.membersportal.com if I am going to use that name as one of my DNS servers or can I basically name the hostname anything I want?
Thanks
