Im getting this msg on alot of things..

rsync: failed to connect to rsync.cpanel.net: Connection timed out
rsync error: error in socket IO (code 10) at clientserver.c(89)

any ideas?

doh! its my firewall. Im running KISS anyone know what I need to give access to?

Look in /etc/services for a list of all the standard ports and what they are used for.

rsync should be 873.

Thanks, try'd that but still wont connect to cpanels servers for updates. Maybe i'll try another firewall instead

ok I installed Bastille works like a charm now, didnt even need port 873.
