I posted a few days back about a disk crash and the resulting chaos. Well, it turns out to be worse than I originally thought. I never actually checked the lost+found for my root partition, and it's full of unlinked stuff. I recognize a lot of it, and I see that there's more missing than present. None of the site management scripts or directories, HTML or otherwise, survived the crash.

It would take me weeks to sort through all this and try to get it in the right places. Even if I did this, there's no guarantee what would happen with the stuff that's just missing.

In short, I think I need a reinstall. I'm on a RaQ 4i -- any experiences with this? Any suggestions worth sharing?

Amazingly, the system is running right now. Any pre-reinstall steps worth pursuing other than the standard backups?

Rackshack, will it be possible for someone to work with me, or at least let me know a time for a reinstall so that I can warn my users?
