I'm trying to do the following: http://forum.plesk.com/showthread.php?threadid=7391 on my apache httpd.conf file, but whenever I do this, apache fails to start back up. Has anyone attempted this before?

I'm running PSA 5. I have SSH root access.

Thanks

the thread you linked to...would work..if you were running a standard install of psa...but since you got your psa 5.0.* box from RS...you have a rpm install (which is a good thing)...

so you need to adjust the paths in that post to match your system...

ie: /usr/local/psa/home/vhost/ should be /home/httpd/vhosts/

Hope that helps.

yes I did that, but also, are you supposed to change the 1.2.3.4 to your server's IP?

As well, I couldn't find a httpd.subdomain in the same directory as the httpd.conf so I created one with the sole code in it being whats on that page. Is the httpd.subdomain located elsewhere?

Thanks

I would say yes...you should use your own ip# for it...but I really havn't used this one...so I can't tell you if it works or not....but it looks pretty simple...and you should just create the httpd.subdomain ...becuase it wouldn't exist...if this does work...it adds yet another way to do preview links on a plesk box...
