I'm paying a friend to host me on his RackShack server. I asked him what the nameservers are but he is not sure so he told me:
NS1/NS2.RACKSHACK.NET Is this correct or should I create my own nameservers using my NameCheap control panel?

If your "friend" puts your domain into the RS nameservers..then yes..that is correct.
