I have seen an Ensim HOWTO But....

I am wondering if anyone knows if it is possible, and the best way to go about, setting up awstats server wide? Somthing so that my clients can goto http://www.theirdomain.com/awstats/ or something, and they will get to view the stats of their domain in awstats. I dont mind what the URL was, and i wanted something that would update daily.

I have set it up on a per domain basis to work but would be nice for a serverwide thing.

Many Thanks

I'm not sure how awstats works, but if it only needs files, you can put it in the .skel folder and it will be created for every new domain
NightHawk
From what I have seen with awstats, you do have to install/configure it for each domain seperatly...it does not appear to have a global option...sorry

Hey and thanks ...

When I go to the Server > Updater > Plesk 8.1.0 Components page, there is "nothing" anywhere about awstats???

How/where do we get it?

Or is it in the "application vault packages"?

And if so, will it work with 8.0.1 with only updating the packages and not all the rest? (until 8.1 is proven)

I don't remember seeing awstats actually listed in the updater as a separate line item popzzz. It just showed up as a choice in the Doman > Setup options after I upgraded a test server I have from 8.0.1 to 8.1. Given that, I rather doubt there's any package you can install on an 8.0.1 server that's going to work.

FWIW the only things I don't like about 8.1 so far are the Ads swsoft stuck in there and the fact that currently only the 'doze version of 8.1 supports allowing one to choose either php4 or php5 at the domain level. That last one would be extremely useful for me. Hopefully the *nix version will support a php choice in the next version. The ads are just stupid. Really stupid since there is no such thing as a free version of Plesk. If they don't re-think that decision --or at least allow the ad crap to be toggled off by the server admin-- they're going to lose a lot of business.

Of course there may be other things that I haven't noticed yet since I only have it on a test server. We'll have to see what happens when I start throwing some domains on it and put a little bit of load on the server.
