Hello All,
I have a plesk 2.0 which I need to upgrade to the latest version, can I upgrade straight to version 5 or do I need to first upgrade to the versions in between? Does RS have sell the upgrade solution or do I have to contact Plesk directly.

You have to upgrade to 2.5.* first...becuase the 5.0.* upgrade will not run on a 2.0.* box...also make sure you do a backup at 2.5.* as the 2.0.* backup will only work on a 2.5.* box.....and you will be completly deleting all sites and de-installing plesk to get from 2.0.* to 2.5.* ....

Since you can't restore a 2.0.* backup to a 5.0.* box...rs does not have an option that would work for that.

So you are left with 3 options:
1) do the upgrades yourself (there are how-tos in these forums and the plesk forums)
2) hire plesk to do the backups/upgrades.
3) hire another admin to do the backups/upgrades.

Options 2 or 3 are the only possibilities, option 2 is out of the question because Plesk will probably ask for and arm and a leg, that leave option 3.

Any plesk guru out there who can perform the upgrade for me for a reasonable fee and a minimal downtime? Please send me a private message. And the licensing part of the upgrade, where do I buy the upgrade license? RS or directly from Plesk?
