Ok i have setup my nameservers....i was wondering if i can setup an IP Based host on the same IP.

Lets say my nameserver is: ns1.MYDOMAIN.com > 222.222.222.222

If i used the IP 222.222.222.222 for a IP Based site, will this affect my nameservers?

In Plesk it appears as if it would let me use that ip to use on an IP BASED site, but i'm scared it will destroy my nameservers?

Thanks,

You can do it....but I wouldn't recommend it...especially since RS will let you have another ip for that ip based site... (since an ip based site would be using ssl or anonFTP).

THank you for your reply, my only problem is last time i requested additional ip's, there were none left on the subnet mask for my site, and i think it would be quite a pain to change all the dns and move to another subnet. You say that you'd prefer not too...but if i did would it have any effect on my nameservers?

thanks again
