I have two servers at RackShack and a couple at other places. I love RackShack and was wondering if RackShack will ever offer a higher bandwidth server (i.e. 800GB for $198 per month)? Maybe with a lower overage?

They do already - you can either have a 10mbit unlimited bandwidth server or one of the new dual xeons with 1000Gb per month. if you want more than 400Gb per month you'll haev to pay for it. The prices are very low as it is

I would love one of those 10mbit umetered servers except that they are Cogent only. And a dual xeon is *way* over kill for what I need. I am using about 5% of the CPU at 400GB per month (although more ram would be nice). I am just wishing that they would offer their standard build servers with more bandwidth even if the per GB price doesn't drop (ie 400GB - $99, 800GB $198, 1200GB $297)

I'd suggest having a search as this topic has been covered a few times recently. Basically RS oversell their bandwidth allocation, as do most of us for our hostingc clients - that's the nature of the business. Because of this you're not going to get a proportional increase in bandwidth and money

i have one client, he order the box with 600 gigs (special edition one) and he only use about 20 gigs. icon_smile.gif

if you need more bandwidth, contact me. icon_wink.gif
