Hello,
Webalizer is no longer updating stats on the our server. I re-installed it and ran /etc/cron.daily/webalizer.pl but it dod not seem to make any difference.
Can anybody please tell me what I might do to test where the problem is?
Thanks.
Best regards,
Brett

Yeah,
you have compressed logs (web.log.gz instead of .log) and webalizer is set to use .log
Contact us (sales@raqtweak.com) if you require assistance in modifying.

Hello,
Thankyou for your reply.
Here are the files in one of the sites /logs directory. I cannot see any .gz file:
ftp.cache
ftp.stats
mail.cache.new
mail.stats
web.cache.new
web.stats
ftp.log
mail.cache
mail.log
web.cache
web.log
There was a file called web.logs.gz in site1 but thats the only site that has it.
If you still think it is stored in a gz file can you please tell me where I can find it?
Best regards,
Brett

looks more like a logrotate problem then,
when in telnet/ssh, while root, run:
/usr/sbin/logrotate -f /etc/logrotate.conf
perl /etc/cron.daily/webalizer.pl

Hello,
It said this:
[root admin]# /usr/sbin/logrotate -f /etc/logrotate.conf
error: error accessing /var/log/samba: No such file or directory
So i did:
[root admin]# touch /var/log/samba
Seems to have done the trick.
Thankyou for your help!

Brett

It seems that I am having the same problem on my Raq 3 server. However, in my log files, I see that I have two web files with the log extension. They look like this:
web.log (text file) 81 kb
web.log.1.gz (Winzip) 3,8454 kb
This webalizer program has been giving me issues since I orignally installed it around October 02. When I go to the stats page, the info is completely wrong and I know there is much traffic going to my site.
Can somebody help me with this problem?! It is driving me nuts!!
Thanks in advance!
