I just signed up for a Plesk server. I have received the email with my IP address and other pertinent things.

I haven't received any information of how to access the Plesk administration pages so I can configure my system. Is there another email I should be receiving soon with that information?

Thanks.

You can reach the Plesk server by entering - https://your_server_ip:8443

login : admin
password : This is the password you typed in on the order form

That worked - thanks.

Now that I am able to get into the Plesk management screens, how do I manage my domain? When I click on the Domain button nothing shows up. I can't find anything in the PSA docs about creating an initial domain.

My situation is that I already have a registered domain running on another server, assume mydomain.com. When I signed up for the Plesk system, the sales department rep told me to enter a subdomain name into the screen used to purchase the system. I entered test.mydomain.com. I eventually will repoint mydomain.com to the new server once everything is tested.

Also - I don't plan on running any other domains on this server.

How do I get my domain set up? I don't see any "add domain" button.

maybe you have to add the domain first? I dont have a plesk box but when I get a fresh ensim box I have to add the domain. Then I can manage it.
Hope that helps.

DennyP,
I think you need to add a new client first icon_smile.gif

I created a client, but there is still nothing on the Domain screen. From reading the documentation, I thought that the client definition was to generate something like www.mydomain.com/~client.

What am I missing?

That makes sense, but there is no Add Domain button. There aren't any buttons. Just the words "no domains".

Login > Clients > Create a new client if you haven't already > Click on the client > Click New Domain

The "domains" tab is simply a list of existing domains. You cannot create domains there, just edit them.

You require the "clients" tab as I've said above ...

Hopefully that helps ....

That helped, thanks.
