Can anyone please explain how to do this....

Right, say I have three servers 1, 2 and 3 and one domain (domain.com) I want to use as root. I want the three servers (All PSA5) to be named server1.domain.com, server2.domain.com and server3.domain.com so things like the FTP server, Mail server etc. show up as the server1.domain.com, server2.domain.com and server3.domain.com.

I want all three servers to function independantely and share only the domain. Is this possible to do without relying on one of the server being up all the time for the other two servers to work?

sure....that can be done.....

just use 3 nameservers..one on each box....and put all 3 nameservers in the whois record for the domain.
